Situm launches a solution that allows employees to return safely after confinement

The solution will alert the worker if they are at risk of not respecting the minimum safety distance, if there is an excess of capacity in a space or if they have been at risk of being infected because they have shared spaces with a colleague affected by Covid-19, among other features.

How to ensure that workers and visitors maintain the minimum interpersonal safety distance is a critical factor for a safe return to work after the period of covid-19 confinement, avoiding sick leave or even facility closures.

To address this new situation, Situm completes its employee and visitor guidance wayfinding and tracking solution with a new smartphone location functionality that will help meet the new requirements...

Safe reintegration of employees after the period of confinement is the main concern of companies, especially those with headquarters or factories where hundreds or thousands of employees work. The aim is to avoid a rise in the number of sick leave or even the cessation of activity due to the closure of facilities.

The "Guide to good practice in workplaces in relationto Covid-19" published by the Spanish government establishes that tasks, entries and exits must be planned so that workers can maintain a recommended interpersonal distance. Likewise, it must be ensured in common areas and crowding of personnel at these points must be avoided.

In order to respond to these new needs, Situm completes its  technologies to guide and track indoors with a new solution that will favour the fulfilment of the minimum interpersonal distance through different functionalities:

  • Receive alerts if the distance between employees is too short
  • Receive alerts if the new maximum capacity of a space is exceeded.
  • Notify those who shared spaces with covid-19 infected people to start working remotely

The solution includes a dashboard to visualize the trajectories made by a worker who has tested positive, in order to identify areas to be disinfected, among other functions.

In addition to these specific features to facilitate the compliance with the interpersonal safety distance, the customer will benefit from the standard functionalities included in the different  solutions:

  • Real-time employee monitoring
  • Guidance to meeting rooms or any other point of interest safely
  • Capacity control and warning for high agglomeration
  • Proximity alarms if safety distances between employees are exceeded
  • Alarms due to accesses in restricted areas or for maximum time in a zone
  • Man down alarm and Panic button alert
  • Agglomeration reports (heat maps), trajectories travelled, time spent in areas

Based on Situm's renowned technology, this solution can be deployed in any building, in the shortest time, and with virtually no additional infrastructure required.

Situm's indoor positioning technology has already been deployed in over 6000 buildings in 70 countries including hospitals, airports, train stations, corporate headquarters, shopping malls, factories, hotels and resorts...
